I have such a hard time coming up with something different to photograph. Here's my Sydney girl once again. I just got a Spyder2express calibration and calibrated my monitor last night. I had to tweak it just a little because it looked too red. My dh also bought me PaintShop Pro XI yesterday. Today I was working on color and b&w again. HHCC appreciated-tell me what you think. :)
ETA: These were shot with my 50mm lens: f1.8, ss 1/100, iso 200

She is so pretty, another nice picture! I think I might prefer this in a vertical crop?! But I'm really not the person to give cc on crops, right now I suck at them...lol! I think it looks a bit blown out on the side of her face?! But take what I say, and remember that I'm new to all of this! Her eyes are stunning, great catchlights!

I like them both. I like the color a little better. Great shots and cute model

Very nice! I'm a big fan of negative space, could even see more to the right side if you wanted to change the crop. I really like the b/w nice contrast!!!

Lovely girl! Nice catchlights and composition! I like the conversion.

One thing about shooting wide open is you have to be really conscious of your focusing. The focus to me seems to have fallen on the hair above her left eye and a tad on her left eye as well. You want the focus to fall on the eyes.

I would play around w/the program you got now, but also download a trial of Photo Shop. Photoshop is pretty much the standard and there are a lot of online resources for it.
